Tour Match, Day 1: Team India took an 86-run lead in the first inning thanks to a clinical bowling performance by Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Navdeep Saini at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.

The India team sounded an early warning to Australia ahead of the test series using procedures mastered under the lights with the pink ball on Day 1 of the second game of the tour at Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.
India was eliminated for 194 after choosing to hit first with Sean Abbott going 3 of 46 and Jack Wildermuth returned 3 of 13 for Australia A, with Will Sutherland, Mitch Swepson, Harry Conway and Green each taking a wicket.
Bumrah posted the highest score of innings with an undefeated 55 of 57 balls, an inning peppered with six limits and two sixes, and shared a 71-run position on the last ground with Mohammed Siraj (22) to lift India from 123-9 in 36-194 all in 49. India had lost eight wickets out of 51 before the tail rallies.
India’s other two top contributors were No. 3 Shubman Gill (43) and starter Prithiv Shaw, who scored 40 of 29 balls before Sutherland pitched him in the ninth.
Sustained pressure from rapids Indians and Australia A has been eliminated by 108. India leads by 86 races.

Australia A, in response, dropped 108 in just under 2 sessions as the moving pink ball made life hell for batters.
Mohammed Shami was the Indian bowlers’ choice, finishing with 3 wickets for 29 runs of his 11 overs, while Bumrah bagged 2 of 33. Navdeep Saini also took 3 wickets while Mohammad Siraj landed one when India completed a clinical performance. bowling on a tough batting wicket at SCG.
Captain Alex Care’s 32 were the only significant score for the home team, which lost to the off-road Cameron Green to a concussion after a shot from Jasprit Bumrah hit him in the head during India’s innings.
The first test between Australia and India will also be played under lights with the pink balls in the Adelaide Oval from 17 December.
