Pakistani High Commission officials were summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) on Saturday, November 21, over the Nagrota incident, in which four suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this week, as India conveyed its “great concern” to Pakistan about the “planned terrorist attack” by the team.
“Pakistan Cd’A (Chargé d’Affaires) was summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a strong protest was made over the attempted attack, which was only prevented by the surveillance of the Indian security forces. Pakistan was required to desist from its policy of supporting terrorists and terrorist groups operating from its territory and to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure operated by terrorist teams to launch attacks in other countries, ”the MEA said in a statement.
“The Government of India is firmly and resolutely committed to taking all necessary measures to safeguard its national security in the fight against terrorism,” he added.
