With 46,232 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and 564 related deaths, India’s count rose to 9,050,598, according to the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review the country’s readiness for delivery, distribution and distribution of vaccines and administration. Prime Minister Modi on Friday reviewed the strategy for obtaining and delivering vaccines against India’s coronavirus disease (Covid-19). “A meeting was held to review India’s vaccination strategy and the way forward. Meanwhile, the Center is considering sending teams of experts to other states and Union (UT) territories that report an increase in new Covid-19 infections to help local administration in disease management. The ministry had announced on Thursday that it would send teams to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Manipur to assess the situation. “The teams will visit districts that report a high number of COVID cases and will support the State’s efforts to strengthen containment, surveillance, testing, infection prevention and control measures, and efficient clinical management of positive cases.” it said in a statement Friday.
