On the new strain of the virus, he said there is no need to panic and this will have no impact on the potential of emerging vaccines. “There is no need to panic. We have yet to detect a virus of this type in our country for which intense efforts are being made. This virus increases infectivity but does not increase the propensity for death, hospitalization or the severity of the disease. Mutation is a very common behavior in viruses. The current mutation says that 17 mutations have occurred at once. Its tendency to enter our cell has increased. The transmissibility has increased with this mutation, ”he said.
