India recorded more than 70,000 Covid-19 recoveries for the second day in a row on Sunday. The country also posted its highest Covid-19 count in 24 hours. With 90,632 fresh boxes, India’s account topped 4.11 million on Sunday.
Up to 73,642 patients have recovered and been discharged from home isolation or hospitals in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached almost 32 lakh.

“This increase in the number of patients recovering has brought India’s recovery rate to 77.32%,” the Health Ministry said in a press release.
“The Center, in collaboration with AIIMS, New Delhi, has led the process of continuous improvement of the clinical management skills of ICU physicians at dedicated Covid-19 hospitals across the country. These measures have resulted in saving more lives. India’s fatality rate, one of the lowest in the world, continues to compress. Today it is set at 1.72%, ”said the ministry.

“Sustained efforts by the Center and state / UT governments have resulted in substantially greater numbers of people being identified at an early stage for infection through very high levels of testing and this has allowed for their timely treatment,” the ministry said.
Up to 70,626 people have lost their lives due to infection in the country.
