Specifications of Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K
This is a 55-inch QLED or Quantum LED TV with 4K resolution. The QLED relies on small nanoparticles of various sizes to illuminate itself. Xiaomi says that QLED colors are more pure and the TV supports 100% of the NTSC color space. It also comes with Xiaomi’s own vivid image engine, which is the company’s tuning algorithm. Xiaomi had introduced this in the 65-inch 4K TV that it had released last year.
The panel has a resolution of 840 × 2160 pixels and includes support for the main HDR formats; this includes Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR 10+ and HDR 10. It also comes with ‘Reality Flow’ or MeMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation) which ensures a smoother frame rate and is especially useful for watching sports. However, users can disable MeMC according to their preferences. There are a total of 14 picture modes on the TV with custom settings.
The Mi QLED TV 4K has a total sound output of 30W with a six-driver design. The TV has four full-range woofers and two tweeters to handle higher frequencies. The TV has a sound range of 60z to 200khz, according to Xiaomi. The company claims that it can support a deeper base and higher frequency, and the TV has a better cavity for the speakers, which is about a liter in volume.
The Mi QLED TV 4K comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 LE. There are three HDMI 2.1 ports. It also runs Android TV 10 with Xiaomi’s own Patchwall operating system. Users have the option of using Xiaomi’s user interface or sticking with the native Android TV interface.
Some features of the Patchwall OS are ‘Universal Search’, where you can search for content in all applications. A user can simply search for a title and it will appear immediately. Patchwall OS will also display clock recommendations based on user preferences. It has support for live channels and live TV as well.
The TV also comes with Chromecast built in so that one can cast content from their phones to the device. Xiaomi says that the data saving feature on Android TV will be shipped as an OTA update later. The TV also comes with an automatic low latency mode (ALLM) where My TV will automatically activate game mode to provide the best gaming experience.
It also includes support for the latest AV1 codec for video format, which is a new compression format for videos that ensures high-quality videos in a compressed format. The Mi QLED TV 4K has a screen-to-body ratio of 96 percent. There is no metal or frame on the front of the TV and everything is panel on the front. Xiaomi says that all QLED TVs are made in India.
