‘India has class players, but Australia will blow them away in Melbourne’: Shane Warne – cricket

Australia’s ‘one of Australia’s best rhythm attacks’ featuring Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood will ‘jaw-dropping’ India in the Boxing Day test match starting December 26 in Melbourne, the legendary player believes Australian cricketer Shane Warne.

“I think Australia is probably going to blow your mind,” Warne, who claimed a record 708 proving grounds for Australia, told ‘Fox Cricket’.

India was knocked out 36, their lowest score in test cricket in the second inning of the day-night test as Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood raced through India’s batting lineup in the first session on Day 3. Warne, however he said he liked Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and KL Rahul are class acts.

“Having said that, they have some class players like KL Rahul. Young Gill will come in. (Ajinkya) Rahane is a class act. We know what (Cheteshwar) Pujara can do, ”he said.

India will not have the services of its regular captain, Virat Kohli, who was flown back home for the birth of the first child and fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who broke his wrists trying to face a Cummins goalkeeper in the Adelaide Test.

“(Mohammed) Shami is also a great loss. He is a high quality bowler. And if you look at the bowlers for Melbourne conditions, pitches on pitches, Shami hits the seam and stands up and throws a good length and straight. ”Indian batsmen got a lot of criticism after the bowling unit Australians, including Pat Cummins (4-21) and Josh Hazlewood (5-8), will fool the visitors in the opening test.

However, Warne believes the Australian-paced drummer deserves more credit for the series-opening win than the criticism the Indian hitters faced.

“Yes, you can try the Indians, but I think you’d rather give credit to the Australians and how well they played,” said the 51-year-old former player.

“They were outstanding, that bowling attack. The four most green bowlers have been good bowlers for a long time. Now they are becoming great bowlers. Watching them go to work in Adelaide was fantastic. ”Warne believes that the current quartet of Cummins, Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon are already on their way to becoming Australia’s largest bowling unit.

“They are definitely in the conversation (to compare them to my time). Those four bowlers are exceptional and have been for a while, ”Warne said.

“If they continue in this form for the next four or five years like this, then they will be in the conversation as the best bowling attack Australia has ever had.” Australia has produced some of the best bowlers in the world, including Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thomson, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee and Jason Gillespie, as well as an effects wizard like Warne.

“You think of Lillee, Thommo, Lee, Gillespie and those guys … But like four at any time, these guys are in the conversation as some of the best Australia has ever had,” he said.
