Former India batsman Aakash Chopra had a witty response to former England captain Michael Vaughan’s tweet about a prediction for the upcoming three-game ODI series between India and England. Vaughan noted the absence of Jofra Archer and Joe Root from England’s ODI team and predicted a 3-0 victory for India. Aakash Chopra tweeted Vaughan’s tweet and suggested that India was also missing key players in Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami. “Early One Day Series Prediction … India will win 3-0 !!! Without Root and Archer,” Vaughan tweeted. Aakash Chopra commented: “No Bumrah No Shami No Jadeja. #OnOn”.

Bumrah exited the India team prior to the fourth test in Ahmedabad and did not participate in the five-game T20I series.
The cricketer recently married television host Sanjana Ganesan and has also not been named to the ODI squad.
Shami, who broke his right wrist during the first Test against Australia in November 2020, has not been seen in action since.
Jadeja, who was also injured during the Australian Trials, began his rehab earlier this month and is expected to be seen on the field for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
At England camp, Archer was ruled out of the ODI due to an elbow injury, while Root has flown home after Trials as part of England’s rotation policy.
Promoted
The three-game ODI series begins Tuesday in Pune with the remaining two ODIs scheduled for March 26 and 28.
All matches will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune.
