Pacer Prasidh Krishna also received his inaugural cap prior to his debut. While Krunal has represented India at T20 Internationals, the game marks Prasidh Krishna’s international debut. India’s cricket board tweeted a video of the huddled team ahead of the launch, where the duo received their caps.

Interestingly, the game will see two pairs of siblings take on each other. While India has the Pandya brothers as its all-rounder, England have chosen to line up both Tom Curran and Sam Curran.
India also named Kuldeep Yadav in their game XI, with Yuzvendra Chahal losing, while KL Rahul returns to the team as a wicketkeeper, with Rishabh Pant rested.
England won the draw at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune and opted for the field.
India captain Virat Kohli said he was happy with the result and would have opted to hit if the pitch had been in his favor.
