Rohit Sharma met with the Indian team in Melbourne after his 14-day quarantine in Sydney came to an end on Wednesday. The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) tweeted a video of Rohit Sharma receiving a warm welcome from members of the Indian contingent, who were already in good spirits after having beaten Australia in the Boxing Day event on Tuesday. When Rohit walked into what appeared to be the team’s dining room, his teammates and coaches greeted him.

Prithvi Shaw, Ravindra Jadeja and Wriddhiman Saha were the first to greet him, before several others like Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan and Washington Sundar also stepped up to welcome the opening batter.
Rohit then walks over to a table where he is greeted by Cheteshwar Pujara.
At the end of the video, he can be seen chatting with the head coach of India, Ravi Shastri, as well as the Test’s substitute captain, Ajinkya Rahane, and pacemaker Umesh Yadav.
“How was the quarantine, friend?” Shastri is heard asking Rohit, his voice booming.
“You look younger,” Shastri added.
Rohit Sharma had flown back to India from the UAE after leading the Mumbai Indians to their fifth Indian Premier League trophy.
After completing his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy after sustaining a hamstring injury, Rohit Sharma flew to Australia earlier this month, but had to be quarantined for 14 days.
The destructive starter missed the limited overs leg of the India Down Under tour, as well as the first two events, but is available for selection for the third event in Sydney.

Ravi Shastri said Tuesday that a call to Rohit Sharma will be taken later after assessing his physical condition.
The third test is scheduled to begin on January 7 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
