New Delhi:

Income tax officials are in the office of businessman Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Head of Congress Sonia Gandhi, in connection with investigations of an illegal property case. The team, which arrived at Vadra’s office in Sukhdev Vihar in east Delhi, will record his statement, the sources said.

Robert Vadra is already under investigation in a case involving properties worth around £ 12 million in London that are allegedly owned by him. It has been widely questioned in the case, presented in 2018, by the Directorate of Enforcement.

In September 2015, the agency had also registered a money laundering case alleging that Mr. Vadra’s signature. Skylight Hospitality, had acquired land intended for the rehabilitation of poor villagers in Bikaner of Rajasthan. It was alleged that Mr. Vadra bought 69.55 hectares of land at a cheaper price and sold it to Allegenery Finlease for 5.15 million rupees through illegal transactions.
