Sources said that of the four big names, two are Mumbai politicians, one is an actor and one is a filmmaker. This comes as an explosive development amid investigative agencies investigating Rhea Chakraborty’s link to an alleged drug cartel. The sources also said that the Director General of the OCN, Rakesh Asthana, was in Mumbai to take stock of the investigation so far.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has registered a case under sections 20, 27 and 29 of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). These sections refer to criminal conspiracy to acquire and use illegal drugs. She has yet to summon anyone in the case, but sources have told Republic TV that Rhea is likely to be summoned first. With the massive revelation of an actor, politicians and filmmaker under the agencies’ scanner, the angle of drugs in the case of Sushant’s death that was first revealed by the Directorate of Execution (ED) continues to grow.

‘Rhea indirectly linked to a smaller drug cartel’

Based on the Siddharth Pithani revelations, CBI believes that Rhea was indirectly linked to a drug cartel serving Bollywood clients and is aware of its operation, sources reported to Republic Media Network, adding that the questioning of a person called Gaurav Arya will shed more light on this matter. . Gaurav Arya has appeared in Mumbai to question ED and had told Republic that he knew Rhea but not Sushant, but claimed he was last in contact with Rhea in 2017.

The sources also said that Rhea never used to acquire the drugs and marijuana directly, and that Neeraj, Dipesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda and Keshav were tasked with acquiring them. The network of the drug trafficker ‘Chinku Pathan’ in South Mumbai and another individual named “Immaa” operating in Andheri-Juhu are under investigation.

On Friday, sources from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) told the Republic Media Network that Rhea Chakraborty and others “are just the tip of the iceberg.” In a massive news story, Republic TV learned that the scope of the NCB investigation is much greater. “Our investigation is different. While we have registered a case against Rhea and others, we have a clear mandate that we will investigate the entire drug cartel in Mumbai,” NCB sources told Republic TV. Sources reported that the agency will not only go after drug traffickers but also cartels that have been operating with impunity in the country’s financial capital.

The sources added that they will investigate the ease with which banned substances and narcotics are available not only to Bollywood celebrities but also to Mumbaikars. Agency sources said the subpoenas to Rhea Chakraborty and others will be issued “at the right time, as they are just the tip of the iceberg.”
