Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy charged serious charges against the higher judiciary and claimed that the Senior Justice of the Supreme Court and the next Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, “has influenced the sessions of the High Court (of Andhra Pradesh) including the list of some honorable judges ”.
In a detailed letter to Chief Justice of India SA Bobde, Reddy alleged that Judge Ramana began to influence the course of the administration of justice in the state through Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge Jitendra Kumar Maheswari, from that his YSC Congress Party came to power in the state. in May 2019 and ordered an investigation into the “actions of N Chandrababu Naidu in his regime between 2014-2019”.
“Sri Justice NV Ramana has been influencing the High Court sessions, including the list of some honorable judges and examples of how matters important to the Telugu Desam Party have been assigned to a few honorable judges …”, said the Minister Main in your eight-page letter.
The Chief Minister also attached documents that he said show the “nexus” between Judge Ramana, Naidu’s TDP and some judges of the higher court.

The chief minister also accused Judge Ramana, the second highest ranking judge in the high court after CJI Bobde, and some judges of the state high court of trying to overthrow his “democratically elected” government in the state to “cover up actions of the former Prime Minister N Chandrababu Naidu “.
“With a sense of pain and anguish at the politicization of the institutions personally supervised by Sri N Chandrababu Naidu through the honorable Justices of the Supreme Court, the facts would clearly demonstrate that the august institution of the High Court is being used to destabilize and overthrow to the democratically elected AP State Government with an indelible trace dating back to the overt and covert actions of Sri N Chandrababu Naidu through the Honorable Judge Sri NV Ramana, ”the annex to the letter read.
‘Judge Ramana influencing the list’
He went on to state that Judge Ramana has been influencing the roster of judges, so important issues of policy and protection of “Naidu’s interests” were brought up before some judges, including Judge AV Sesha Sai, Judge M Satyanarayana Murthy, Judge DV SS Somayyajulu, Judge D Ramesh.
In the detailed annex, Reddy also listed some specific cases and orders issued by the Andhra Pradesh HC judges to “protect the interests of the TDP”, including the Amaravati land scam and the suspension of the eviction or demolition process in Naidu’s house.
