JAIPUR: In view of the increase in the number of positive Covid cases in Rajasthan, the state department of origin has written to all Jaipur and Jodhpur district collectors and police commissioners to advise them to impose restrictions under Section 144 at 33 districts as of November 21. it would be done to control the spread of infection between people.
In an order issued by the Secretary of the Interior NL Meena to the districts, he stated: “Considering the severity of the spread of the Covid infection, which causes risks to human life and the health of people, it is recommended to impose restrictions under of Section 144 as of November 21, to control the spread of Covid infection between people. ”
Speaking to TOI, Meena said that Section 144 is required to be imposed in the districts again looking at the situation in the state. “Previously also, in March, we had advised districts to impose restrictions under 144. Continuing with the same order, we have again warned them in writing to enforce it as of November 21. There will be consistency in enforcement if all districts run it on the same day, ”Meena said.
As of Friday, as of 6pm, 2,762 positive cases were recorded in Rajasthan, bringing the total cumulative positive cases in the state to 2.37 lakh. So far 2.14 lakh of patients have already been discharged and recovered in the state. So far, there are 2,130 deaths due to Covid.
