A redesigned iMac, a more affordable HomePod, and a powerful new Apple TV are just a few of the products Apple has planned for 2020, according to a trusted reporter. ->
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman It also revealed expectations for the iPhone 5G lineup, slated to launch this fall, and for a 14-inch MacBook Pro during a question-and-answer session on Twitter with followers on Tuesday. ->

Gurman is the last to provide his predictions. They’ll be familiar to anyone who’s been closely following the rumor this year, but they’re an interesting read for any Apple fan.
This is what Gurman says we can expect from Apple in 2020.

Let’s start with the big things. Gurman expects Apple to unveil four “iPhone 12” models this fall, including a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and a 6.7-inch model, all of which will feature 5G.

The 5.4-inch model and one of the 6.1-inch models will be more affordable alternatives to Apple’s flagship phones, after the iPhone 11, Gurman said. Some high-end features will be lost.
Those features include a LiDAR scanner, first introduced with this year’s iPad Pro update, and a 120Hz ProMotion display. Gurman hopes that these will be exclusive to the more expensive 6.1 and 6.7-inch devices.
The four options of the iPhone 12 are to show off new designs, inspired by the iPad Pro, with sharper edges and flat screens. They will also have smaller notches and built-in speakers on their bezels, Gurman said.
What about the Touch ID built into the screen? Gurman said no.
New Macs
Apple is also expected to redesign the iMac this year. The physical appearance of the all-in-one has not changed since 2012, but Gurman hopes that the next update will bring “substantial” changes.
Gurman said the rumors surrounding a new 23-inch iMac option are likely accurate. But as to whether or not they’ll be powered by ARM instead of Intel CPUs, Gurman told fans to “stay tuned.”
Reliable informant Jon Prosser said Tuesday that a new iMac is “mostly ready” to launch. “literally at any time.However, it is unclear whether it is a redesigned iMac, or a smaller update that will look the same.

->The 14-inch MacBook Pro we’ve all been waiting for will debut this year, Gurman reiterated. It is expected to reflect the improvements Apple first introduced in late 2019 with the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
These include a Magic Keyboard with scissor switch keys, slimmer bezels that allow a larger screen to squeeze into a compact design, and improved speakers and microphones.
->Those who plan to buy that 16-inch MacBook Pro instead may want to wait. Gurman predicted that Apple will update its most powerful laptop in October or November this year.
And much more
Other hardware likely to come from Apple in 2020, according to Gurman, includes a new Apple TV. It will be more powerful than its predecessor, but it won’t support sharper 8K videos yet.
Apple Watch Series 6 with sleep tracking, AirTags and new Apple headphones with a modular design, which are expected to have different uses, are also scheduled for later this year.
Apple is also focused on “saving the HomePod” with a cheaper model, while an alternative to AirPower is in the works, but could come later.

Other things Apple is working on beyond 2020 include an augmented reality headset, and continues to focus on autonomous vehicle technology, Gurman said.
Gurman rejected Prosser’s suggestions that Apple is building an Xcode app for iPad. Prosser has since reiterated those claims and says Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X will also arrive on iPadOS.
