“At a time when Hardik started playing, we thought we could pull it off. The middle phase during our hitting cost us the game. A 30-something partnership would have made it easier for Hardik.”
Kohli also thanked sports fans. Australian crowd for the way it appeared despite the threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I feel like the crowd was a factor too, it always gives you a motivational dimension. Our crowd helps us at times, and Australia is also very supportive, and we as players feed off the energy of the crowd.”

Australian captain Aaron Finch he was delighted to be on the winning side after setbacks in the first two games.
“It was a great series, and it turned out that we were on the wrong side of the first two. It’s the first time we’ve got two spinning legs (Adam Zampa Y Mitchell swepson) on the side, and they were bold with the short limits here, so credit to both.
“Swepson pitched the seventh against Shikhar (Dhawan) and Virat, both destructive in their own way, but Zamps also played very well. We played great white ball cricket for the last 18 months and we are very proud of the group.” Finch said.
Swepson was named Man of the Match for returning good 3/23 figures, including starter Dhawan’s wicket, in his share of four overs.
“Happy to get this award and win the game for my side. I think it was a bit drifting, but I’m happy to say I gave it a bit of a head start and got that wicket (from Shreyas Iyer).
