West Indies fast pitcher Kesrick Williams has had a couple of interesting encounters with India captain Virat Kohli. In 2017, Williams fired Kohli and followed him up with his trademark ‘notebook celebration’. Kohli didn’t forget and during a T20I against the West Indies at home last year, the hitter faced Williams and, after pitching it for a six, bounced back from the fast pitcher with a celebration of his own in the notebook.

With Williams unsold at the IPL auction, the renewal of this rivalry would have to wait until India meets the West Indies again. Although, whenever that happens, Williams is confident of releasing that delivery that can bring Kohli out again.
“Difficult to throw at Kohli? No, it’s not. When he gets going, he is a talented player. He’s a great player, but I’m not worried about Kohli. I don’t go to bed at night and I’m like ‘ohhh, it’s Kohli’! No, ”Williams told Firstpost in an interview.

When asked if he would be ready for another race with the Indian captain, Williams said: “I am definitely looking forward to it. I know that every time he sees me, he will get excited and say ‘Yo, I’m going to beat him.’ But dude, at the end of the day, cricket is cricket. It takes a ball to get it out. And I’ll get that ball again. “
Williams guaranteed that if and when it happens (take out Kohli), the quick 30-year-old will come up with a new celebration. That being said, Williams noted that he is always ready for good competition and that there is nothing better than Kohli, who has an aggressive demeanor, which in turn brings out the best in the fast pitcher.
You better count on that. I like to play against Kohli, he’s a very aggressive guy, ”Williams said. “And I love playing aggressive guys because it brings out the best in me. Like I said, that guy is a talented player. I know that when he sees me again, as long as if I ever play against India it will bring out the best in him and the best in me.
