The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay launched IIT Bombay Placement 2020 on December 1, 2020. On December 1, around 35 companies participated in the placement event to offer around 400 jobs to recent graduates in two days. The highest package of Rs 1.63 crore was manufactured on the first day by Sony Japan.
The number of international bids on Day 1 was 21 and the highest number of bids was made by Optiver (Netherlands), Honda R&D (Japan) and TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company), and the pick count at the end of Day 1 was 155. For national jobs, Texas Instruments, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Mastercard, and Boston Consulting Group made the most offers. Day 1 concluded with 313 job offers, including PPO and PSU.
On the second day, 16 companies made more than 64 job offers in various sectors. Sysmex Corporation (Japan) made outstanding international offers. For domestic jobs, Oracle, American Express and Bajaj Auto made the largest number of bids.
The highest offers made so far, apart from Sony Japan, are Honda (R&D) Japan with a package of Rs 82 lakh, NEC Japan offered Rs 49.24 lakh JPY / year and TSMC with 20.70 lakh-TWD / year.
