IISc is the only Indian institute in the top 100 of THE 2021 subject rankings; here is a list of the best universities in the different streams

The 2021 subject ranking: The Times Higher Education (THE) ranking today published the world ranking of subjects 2021. A total of 1,512 universities classified in 11 subject areas. The Indian Institute of Sciences was ranked 96th in the computer science branch and 94th in engineering and technology, however, none of the other Indian university teams could reach the top spots in either stream.

US-based universities have dominated the rankings by securing top positions in nine subject areas. However, first place in clinical and health sciences and informatics has been lost. In both categories, the United Kingdom has taken the first places. Here is the list of the best institutes in streams around the world:
