Shoaib Akhtar gave his input on how to get rid of Virat Kohli.
Indian captain Virat Kohli is currently number one on the ICC batting ranking list on the ODI cricekt. Kohli, who could be said to be one of today’s greats, has excelled in all three formats of the game and has been applauded for his sensational display.
While bowlers find it difficult to fire the Indian captain, former Pakistani sprinter Shoaib Akhtar gave his opinion on how to get Virat Kohli out.
The Rawalpindi Express had two ideas:
“If I were bowling, I would go wider than the crease and throw the ball up [to Kohli] and shape it away from it to make it drive. “
“If that doesn’t work, I’ll throw it at 150 [kph] and he will come out, “Akhtar said in a video on Instagram Live.
Akhtar had previously praised Kohli on social media and called him the “modern Bradman”.
Akhtar also spoke about his duel with Sachin Tendulkar and said: “I had a good time bowling with Sachin Tendulkar. He is one of the best hitters of all time, but I also fired him 12-13 times. “
“Although, the Indians only remember that six that hit me in Centurion [during the 2003 ICC World Cup] because it makes them really happy, “he added.
“If I had known that a six makes 1.3 billion people happy, then I would have let them hit me for a six every day,” he added, speaking of his camaraderie with Sachin. “
