Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has postponed the IBPS RRB 2020 Preliminary Exam today, September 7, 2020. The exam for RRB PO, Clerk and SO that was scheduled to take place on September 12 and 13, 2020, will not be held due to some unavoidable circumstances. The new dates would be published by the Institute on the official website of ibps.in soon.
The official notice reads: “In addition to our Notice dated 08.10.2020, due to some unavoidable circumstances, it will not be possible to conduct the preliminary exams online according to CRP-RRB-IX on 09.12.2020 and 09.13.2020. The revised dates will be posted on the authorized IBPS website. Candidates are requested to visit the authorized website www.ibps.in regularly. ” Official notice here
Shortly after the announcement of the exam dates, the admission card would also be published. The admission card according to the above schedule was expected to be published this week.
Selection for Officer Scale 1 includes the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview, while a single-level examination is conducted for Officer Scale II and III position followed by an interview. For Office Assistant positions, selection is made on the basis of the preliminary examination, the main examination and the round of interviews.
This hiring campaign would fill 9,638 positions in the organization. The preliminary examination will be conducted online and a total of 80 objective type questions will be included in the question document. The office assistant position (multipurpose) will have questions of reasoning and numerical ability and the officer scale I will have questions of reasoning and quantitative ability.
The application process began on July 1 and ended on July 21, 2020. The preliminary examination for Tier I Officers and Office Assistants was scheduled for September 12, 13, 19, 20 and 26, 2020 and an examination The only one for Officers Scale II and III is October 18, 2020 and the main exam of the official scale I is October 18, 2020.
In the meantime, IBPS has published the IBPS Clerk 2020 notice too. This recruiting drive would fill 1,557 secretary positions nationwide at various banks registered under IBPS. The application process has already started and the last date to apply is September 23, 2020.
