In an exclusive conversation with Times Now group political editor Navika Kumar, BJP leader and Union Minister of Energy RK Singh said on Saturday that he was very surprised by the reaction of Maharashtra’s chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, to his demand for a CBI investigation in the Sushant case.
“Sushant’s death was shocking to the entire country, but what actually sparked an outcry was the attempt to create a smokescreen. The Rhea team is trying to create a smokescreen around the fundamental issue. Prima facie, It seems that this could not be a suicide, “he added. Said the Minister of the Union.
He also asked why the autopsy was carried out overnight in a hurry. “The desperation of the Mumbai police was evident because they did not want the Bihar police to do a proper investigation,” Singh said.
‘BJP’s reaction has nothing to do with Bihar polls’
On the politicization of the actor’s death, the Union minister said that the BJP’s reactions to this case have nothing to do with the Bihar polls as it is not about politics, but about raising people’s concerns . “Our response to this case has nothing to do with the Bihar elections, the BJP is not the only party that has raised this issue,” he added.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai suburban Bandra area on June 14.
A team of CBI SIT detectives along with the forensic team again arrived at Sushant’s house in Bandra today in connection with the investigation into her death. This time, they were joined by the late actor’s sister Mitu Singh at the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West.
This is the fourth time CBI detectives have visited the flat. The team had also previously recreated the crime scene. Previously, the CBI team also visited Cooper Hospital twice and met with the doctors who performed the autopsy on the late actor.
