Sidharth Shukla turned one more year today and has been enjoying the attention and love of his fans around the world. “I have never been a birthday person nor have I done my best to celebrate it,” says the actor, who turned 40 this year. “This birthday is special because of all the love I received from the people on social media and the fans. The amount of gifts I have received is amazing. I am happier for the beautiful things that people are doing for my birthday. They have been helping the underprivileged, planting trees and doing charity that really connected me and touched my heart. The amount of cakes I have is incredible. Every day I have 4-5 cakes from a week. It feels wonderful. It is sweet and overwhelming. My parents never gave me so many cakes (laughs) ”, he admits.
Well known for starring in hit TV shows like Balika Vadhu and Dil Se Dil Tak, Shukla, the actor has appeared in several music videos lately, including one with Shenaaz Gill. The duo is called Sidnaaz by their fans and was most recently seen in Tony Kakkar’s music video. Ask him about his relationship with Gill and the dating rumors and he responds, “People like us and want to see us together. It’s fun working together. We are very good friends, “he says.
In the past two years, Shukla’s popularity has skyrocketed and he admits that being himself on reality shows was the reason the audience loved him for his serials before. “The love I got from reality shows is for Sidharth Shukla, but the appreciation for my performances was for the characters who loved the audience. As an actor, you want to connect with the public and luckily, I had the opportunity to be myself. Kabhi gussa kabhi pyaar, the emotions were out there. We are all like that and it was the real me on the reality show. I am more humble, I have more gratitude and respect for things much more today with all the public that I love ”, reveals the actor, who will soon be seen on a web show.
