Hyundai partners with Air Liquide Medical Systems to manufacture ventilators

The battle against the coronavirus pandemic continues as large organizations and individuals continue to try to stem its spread. We have been experiencing many large organizations joining hands to defeat this ongoing health crisis. Hyundai Motor India (HMI) has partnered with Air Liquide Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd. (ALMS), a UCI ventilator manufacturer, to increase the production and supply of ventilators. With this partnership, HMI and ALMS aim to reach a goal of 1,000 fans in Production Phase 1 and expand later.

Ventilators are medical devices that do the breathing work for patients who are unable to breathe on their own by delivering air with a high concentration of oxygen to the lungs. For patients severely affected by COVID-19, ventilators are critical in ensuring that continuous oxygen is delivered to overcome respiratory failure.
