The coronavirus pandemic has paralyzed the world’s economies, in addition to infecting more than 25 lakh people and killing about two lakhs. In Kollywood, many celebrities have made donations to various aid funds to provide food and essentials to those in need. Raghava Lawrence has contributed over Rs 3 million, Thala Ajith Rs 1.25 million and Superstar Rajinikanth 50 lakhs followed by many other celebrities. It was unknown how much Thalapathy Vijay had donated so far, but the president of his fan club, Bussy Anand, has officially revealed it.
According to Anand, Thalapathy Vijay has donated a total of 1.3 Crores to the coronavirus relief fund. The break is Rs. 50 Lakhs to TN Chief Ministers Fund, Rs. 25 Lakhs to PM Cares, Rs. 25 Lakhs to FEFSI, Rs. 10 Lakhs in the background Kerala CM, and Rs. 5 Lakhs each for Karnataka, Telangana and Puducherry CM relief funds.
In addition to this, a rupee amount of fifty lakhs is said to have been distributed to fans to help them bring Vijay’s total contributions to rupees of Rs 1.8 million.
