HUGE: Deepika Padukone’s ‘DP + Ka + KWAN’ group was the ‘maal’ chat site; the best KWAN bosses there


Prior to the questioning of Deepika Padukone by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug case related to the drug investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Republic Media Network on Friday accessed more details from a group of WhatsApp formed by KWAN’s talent manager. Jaya Saha with Deepika, Karishma Prakash and KWAN co-founders Anirban Das Blah and Vijay Subramaniam.

WhatsApp group ‘DP + Ka + KWAN’ raises eyebrows

These WhatsApp group chats show that the top management of the company under the scan was part of the group and were aware of the alleged drug supply chain that was run through KWAN employees. According to information that Republic had access to, the group was named as ‘DP + KA + KWAN’ where ‘DP’ can be assumed to be Deepika Padukone and ‘KA’ could have been Karishma.

The group was formed by Jaya Saha and its administrators were Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash. Other members include Vijay Subramaniam, Anirban Das, producer Madhu Mantena, KWAN CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar, among many others. In this group the 2017 drug talks with ‘Maal’, ‘hash’ were taking place. There is also a part in the chats that reveals that Deepika Padukone was supposed to host a meeting of some kind. This also establishes that the drug talks were taking place under KWAN’s top bosses.

2017 drug chat accessed: ‘D’, ‘K’ and Jaya Saha involved

Deepika Padukone’s name came up in one of the WhatsApp chats where the actor allegedly asks a ‘K’ for ‘maal, hash’ who was later confirmed as his manager, Karishma Prakash. The chats accessed are from October 2017 and show Deepika asking ‘K’ for “bad” who replies that she has it, but at home. Also, ‘K’ says that he can ask ‘Amit’ if he wants it, since “he carries it. Deepika also clarifies that she needs “Hash” and not “marijuana” while the two discuss the logistics.

After that, another series of conversations emerged in which Jaya Saha is discussing supplying drugs to another pair of actors, ‘S’ and ‘N’, of which ‘S’ turned out to be Shraddha Kapoor, according to sources.

Deepika Padukone lands in Mumbai

Actors Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan, who have been summoned by the NCB in a drug case, arrived in Mumbai from Goa. Padukone, who was filming for director Shakun Batra’s upcoming film in Goa, was joined by actor and husband Ranveer Singh. The NCB, which launched the investigation after a drug angle in connection with the Rajput’s alleged suicide came to light, has now expanded its investigation and called in movie celebrities for questioning.

Sara will perform before the NCB on September 26 (Saturday), along with Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor. Actor Rakul Preet Singh and Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash were questioned at NCB’s office on Friday. Meanwhile, statements by fashion designer Simone Khambatta and Shruti Modi, a former Rajput manager, were recorded by NCB’s investigation team in connection with the drug case.

Karan Johar’s assistant Kshitij was picked up by NCB

On Friday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) picked up Kshitij Ravi Prasad, the right-hand man of filmmaker Karan Johar, from his residence in Versova after the agency conducted raids there. In a massive disclosure, the NCB has confirmed that the executive producer and director of Dharma Productions regularly purchased large quantities of drugs, sources told Republic.

Marijuana and small amounts of weed were also seized from the Kshitij site during the searches. He was seen being escorted by NCB officials from his residence and taken to NCB’s Ballad Pier Office. Another Karan Johar employee is also being questioned by NCB: Anubhav Chopra.
