HTLS 2020: ‘Be serious. Don’t take it lightly ‘: the advice of Nitin Gadkari, Covid survivor


Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who contracted the coronavirus disease in September, said on Friday that people should take preventive measures like wearing masks and keeping their distance, seriously to keep Covid-19 away. “First of all, wearing masks is very important. My only suggestion to people is to be serious. Don’t take it lightly. On a flight, going to the market, on the road, take these preventive measures. Life is very important, ”said the Union Minister for Road Transport and MSMEs while speaking with Zakka Jacob, editor-in-chief of CNN-News18, at the 18th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.

Gadkari had tested positive for the coronavirus disease in September after he attended the monsoon session of Parliament. “Yesterday I felt weak and I consulted my doctor. During the course of my checkup, I was tested positive for COVID-19, ”Gadkari had tweeted. “Right now I’m doing well with everyone’s blessings and good wishes. I have isolated myself ”, he had said.
