The Marathi paper of the Goa board HSSC examination was conducted in the examination centres across the state on Wednesday. Goa government had decided to conduct the exams from May 20 onwards.

Some have already appeared for Konkani, Hindi, etc., as Well, the number of students is less,” Deepak Amonkar, Director-KB Hedgewar Higher Secondary School in Bambolim, said ANI.
Elaborate arrangements, including social distancing and sanitsation, were conducted in the schools to carry out the review.
“We have followed all the instructions and guidelines set by the government, Goa Board and the Department of Education. Everything has been done as indicated. Two days ago, we had the whole of our campus is minimalist, including the floor and the benches,” Amonkar said.
“Proper guidelines were given to all supervisors and staff, who were there to the right of the door. We do not allow parents to enter the campus. Students were allowed to enter the campus, while maintaining proper distancing and the use of masks”, he added.
Vidya Naik, examimation in-charge in Cujira, Bambolim, said that the students were not allowed to gather the entire interior of the campus and is sent directly to their classes.
“Sanitisers were provided to them. They were sent straight to their classes for the exams, and not allowed to gather around the crowds. Only twelve banks were kept in a classroom. Otherwise, there are about 20 benches in a class,” Naik said.
She said that the school staff ensured that students maintain social distancing at all times and added that the examination of the volunteers ensured that the students wore masks as well.
One of the students, who appeared for the examination, said that the management of the school ensured proper security measures for the students.
“All services were very good. Even checked our temperature after an hour. It was not as risky as had been thought it would be. We had felt the test have not been carried out right now in the middle of the coronavirus of the crisis,” the student said.
Sanjay Gauthankar, father of a student here, congratulated the state government on the decision to conduct the examination immediately.
“This is a good decision. The risk is low, so that the examination can be conducted. The students have also been worried about their exams. It has already been delayed for a long time,” Gauthankar said.
