Hrithik Roshan wrote a long note on Friday for Rishi Kapoor thanking him for supporting him throughout his career. The actor shared an old photo of himself with Neetu Kapoor and the late actor and wrote that the veteran actor had been a constant source of encouragement to him.

The actor wrote that it felt incredible to think that Rishi Kapoor liked his work. And he added: “Even your love had so much energy that I had to be attentive every time you called … I don’t think that ever in my life I could continue to sit when you spoke to me. Every time Dad called and said ‘Chintu uncle just watch your movie and it’s calling you, ‘I used to get up, pound my heart and start walking around the room, preparing myself for the deluge of love and reprimand so genuinely mixed in its own inimitable way that it was hard for an observer to tell which was which (sic)

He wrote that Rishi Kapoor supported and encouraged him from childhood and did not shy away from yelling at him to tell him the importance of hard work in life. He wrote: “You gave me strength in my weakest moments. It felt so incredibly incredible to think that Rishi Kapoor liked my job. That made me believe in myself (sic). “

Hrithik thanked the late actor for honestly pointing out his mistakes. He added, “Thank you for every time you picked up the phone and worked hard, thank you for repeatedly pointing out my mistakes, thank you for that constant support and encouragement Uncle Chintu, there will never be any actor or human like you. Thank you for being my childhood, for literally screaming out loud on my eardrums about the importance of hard work. And for being so blatantly and ridiculously honest that it made me believe every word you said. I, the world, and everyone you touched and inspired will miss you. So much (sic). “

Hrithik Roshan shared screen space with Rishi Kapoor in Zoya Akhtar’s 2009 film Luck By Chance.

Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, shared a close bond with Rishi Kapoor. The two veteran actors were friends from their earliest days in Bollywood and used to party with other friends, including Jeetendra and Prem Chopra. Rajesh Roshan and Rishi Kapoor worked together on such films as Jhoota Kahin Ka (1979), Khel Khel Mein (1975), and Aap Ke Deewane (1980). Roshan also directed Rishi in the 1987 film Khudgarz.

Rishi Kapoor last breathed at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on April 30. His last rites were performed at the Chandanwadi Crematorium in Mumbai, in the presence of a few family members, including Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Rishi’s Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, was unable to attend the funeral.
