Gautam Gambhir lashed out at former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and reminded him of the all-rounder about his final performance in the world T20 against Pakistan.

Not known for hitting, BJP MP and retired cricketer Gautam Gambhir hit back at Shahid Afridi, after the former Pakistan captain questioned the frivolous attitude of the Indian cricketer in his autobiography.
Afridi had written that he used to enjoy playing against Gautam Gambhir and Shane Warne for their reaction to the sled. In Gambhir, he said: “(Gautam Gambhir) and his attitude problem. He, who has no personality. He, who is hardly a character in the great scheme of cricket. He, who does not have great records, just a lot of attitude” He , which behaves as if it were a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond. “
The quotes were picked up in some posts due to the shortage of live action amidst the coronavirus blockade and this resulted in Gambhir responding to Afridi on Twitter and a war of words ensued.

Afridi and Gambhir had disagreed at one of the ODI games in Guwahati, during the Pakistan tour of India in 2007. The two launched waves of abuse after colliding as Gambhir fled Afridi.
Remarkably, Gambhir’s fluid 75 had paved the way for a competitive total that India tightly defended against Pakistan in the inaugural T20 World Cup final in 2007. Gambhir had smashed 75 of 54 balls, a strike that was struck out with eight four and a pair of six, to help India publish 157/5 of its 20 envelopes.
