Himachal Pradesh reported three more cases of coronavirus on Sunday, bringing the total in the state to 55.

Two drivers, on their way to the Mandi and Baijnath areas of the Kangra district, tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday. They have been quarantined at the Naina Devi PWD Rest House in the Bilaspur District.

A Gujarat vehicle was detained at the Swarghat border in Bilaspur and all occupants of the car were quarantined. The driver, who is from Gujarat, tested positive. The other five occupants of the car were residents of the Baijnath area of ​​Kangra. Their samples have been sent for testing to IGMC Shimla, Bilaspur SP Diwakar Sharma told The Tribune.

The second vehicle came from Gurugram in Haryana. Four people were on their way to the Mandi district when the vehicle was also stopped at the Swarghat border. The driver of the vehicle, who is from Mandi, tested positive for the fatal illness. The other three passengers are also from Mandi. His tests are pending.

A 19-year-old woman tested positive for coronavirus in Kangra, bringing the total number of cases in the district to nine. The woman is the sister of the man who worked at a logistics company in Delhi and had recently tested positive at Tanda Medical School. A resident of the Kangra subdivision, Jeer Bala village, the man returned home on April 28 and tested positive for coronavirus on May 8. Health authorities identified 10 close contacts of the man. This is the first case in the Kangra district in which the primary contact of a patient with a positive coronavirus has also tested positive for the infection. With the last case, the total number of coronavirus cases in Kangra has increased to nine, including four active cases, four of which have been treated and cured. One person has died due to illness in the district.
