“He’s a Technical Beast” – Dominick Reyes Lauds Jan Blachowicz Wants Him As The Next Fight

Dominick Reyes came agonizingly close to ending Jon Jones ’lengthy run of wins in title fights. I have lost via Unanimous Decision. Many fans believe that the result was daylight robbery. The Devastator has been very vocal in wanting a rematch against ‘Bones.’ However, the top-ranked pound for pound fighter dismissed claims that he is not ready for another dogfight. He also hinted at his next challenger.

Based on the UFC light Heavyweight rankings and ‘Bones’ tweet it will be Jan Blachowicz. This is someone who Reyes would like to fight as well. In a chat with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck on “What the Heck” ‘The Devastator’ shared his views on the same.

“I think he’s a fantastic fighter. I think he’s one of the most technical guys in the division and has some really good power. He’s just a technical beast and he has a lot of experience to where he’s wise with his technical ability. I’ve been wanting to fight Jan since I beat Jared Cannonier. ”

“I don’t know if you guys know or remember, I called him out right after the fight. This is a guy I’ve been wanting to fight for a minute, so if there’s an interim then yeah, hell yeah, let’s do it. But I think we’re gonna get that rematch first. ”

‘The Devastator’ was also amused by the Polish fighter’s reply to ‘Bones’ “Popping cherries” call out.

I said, “I don’t even think I intended it to be the Tweet of the Year, I don’t even know. There was quite a lot of good tweets, that was good, I respect that, Jan, I respect that. ”

In the event of the ‘Prince of Cieszyn’ fight not going ahead or even Jones not showing up he named some other fighters he would be interested in facing. These included Corey Anderson, Jiri Prochazka, and Thiago Santos.

However, given the nature of the result, the rematch seems likely before ‘Bones’ or ‘The Devastator’ can move on to other challenges.
