The continued rain required the BBMP to seek help from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to evacuate people stranded in the floodwaters. A team of 20 people was transferred with their boats to Hosakerehalli, Dattatreya Layout and Gurudatta, which were badly affected by the rains.
Some of the areas that received heavy rain on Friday night were: Kengeri, RR Nagar, Vidyapeeta, Uttarahalli, Konankunte, Basavanagudi, Kumaraswamy, among others.
