Fifteen people have died in Hyderabad in rain-related incidents, following incessant rains that hit the city and different parts of Telangana, causing flooding on roads and flooding in some low-lying areas.
People were advised to stay indoors for the next two days as more rains are expected in the state.
The Telangana government has declared holidays on Wednesday and Thursday for all private institutions, offices and non-essential services within the Outer Ring Road here in light of the rains.

Hyderabad has received 20 cm rain in the last 24 hours.
The Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, and the Minister of Livestock, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, held an emergency meeting with senior officials and reviewed rescue and relief operations in the city.
Interior Minister Amit Shah said that the Interior Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the wake of the heavy rains and that the central government will provide all possible assistance to the two states.
The Army is involved in rescue and relief operations in parts of the city affected by the fury of the rain and the deluge together with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and evacuated several abandoned people.
Army personnel launched relief and rescue columns in the event of flooding in the Bandlaguda area following a state government requisition, according to a Defense statement.
The NDRF said it evacuated more than 1,000 people from flooded areas in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
Several trees and utility poles were uprooted due to the flood. Power supply was suspended in most of the state capital as a precautionary measure.
The rains were triggered by a deep depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal that led to heavy rains in several districts of Telangana, according to the meteorological department.
The depression over western parts of Telangana, the meteorological department forecast, will move to the west northwest and gradually weaken into a well-marked, low-pressure area over the next 12 hours.
