The deep depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal crossed the north coast of Andhra Pradesh near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh and 100 km almost east-northeast of Narsapur in Andhra Pradesh between 6.30am and 7.30am on Tuesday with a Wind speed from 55 to 65 km / h, gusts to 75 kmph.
The deep depression will bring heavy to extremely heavy rains in parts of the peninsula and central India and the west coast, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
The depression is being monitored by coastal Doppler weather radars from Machilipatnam, Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur. According to radar images, the rain bands are found along the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and the adjacent inland districts. Moderate convection is also found in southern Odisha and Telangana.

Heavy to extremely heavy precipitation (more than 20 cm per day) is likely to occur over Telangana in isolated locations; The coast and inland of northern Karnataka, southern Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, southern interior Karnataka, southern Odisha, southern Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha on 13 and 14 October, according to IMD’s Tuesday morning bulletin.
IMD has advised fishermen not to venture into the central west, northwest and southwest of the Bay of Bengal, and along and off the coast of Andhra Pradesh-Odisha-Tamil Nadu, Puducherry until October 13 evening and over the Gulf of Mannar from October 12 to 13.

There is no chance that monsoon withdrawal will resume until the depression dissipates, the IMD scientists said. “The system will cross the coast of Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Maharashtra, southern Gujarat, etc. and it will emerge in the Arabian Sea. It will bring heavy and widespread rains along its path. We cannot say anything about the withdrawal of the monsoon when it rains so much. Another low-pressure area is also likely to form soon after the current one dissipates, ”said K Sathi Devi, director of the national weather forecast center.
The monsoon retreat line remains along Faizabad, Fatehpur, Nowgong, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Vallabh, Vidyanagar, and Porbandar.
