Head of AIIMS panel on Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer’s claims that actor was strangled: “ I can’t comment on seeing marks ” – bollywood

The head of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) forensic team panel investigating the circumstances surrounding actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has dismissed the claims of the actor’s family lawyer, Vikas Singh. The lawyer claimed that a member of the AIIMS team had told him that Sushant had been strangled.

“I can’t comment by looking at brands,” said AIIMS panel chief Sudhir Gupta, according to Times now. So far no conclusions have been drawn and the team has asked for patience. Sushant’s death is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation, after the Mumbai Police in their initial investigation concluded that the actor had committed suicide.

Dr. Gupta said: “No conclusion or conclusive opinion about a homicide or suicide can be made by looking at the ligature marks and the scene of the event. It is difficult for doctors and almost impossible for people in general, only the discretion of the internal liaison and forensic interpretation is needed. “

Sushant’s father has filed a FIR against the actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, accusing her of complicity in suicide and embezzlement. Attorney Vikas Singh had expressed frustration earlier in the day at the delay in charges against Rhea to change from aiding and abetting to murder.

He had written in a tweet: “Frustrated by the delay in which CBI made the decision to turn the complicity in suicide into Murder of SSR. The doctor who is part of the AIIMS team had told me a long time ago that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it was death by strangulation and not suicide ”. The tweet was also shared by the actor’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, “We have been so patient for so long! How long will it take to find the truth? “

Rhea is currently in judicial custody at Byculla Jail, after she was arrested for allegedly purchasing drugs for Sushant. The drug angle in the case was uncovered by the Directorate of Enforcement, which found evidence linking Rhea and her brother Showik to drug purchases, while investigating their financial activities.

The Bombay High Court will hold a hearing on the bail requests made by Rhea and Showik on September 29, according to the ANI news agency.
