Jaya hee, would you say the same if your daughter Shweta was beaten, drugged and abused as a teenager in my place? Would you say the same if Abhieshek constantly complained about bullying and harassment and one day he was found hanging? Show compassion for us too

The actress in one of her responses on Twitter wrote:

Jaya Bachchan, without giving a name, criticized BJP deputy and actor Ravi Kishan for their drug conspiracy comment at the Lok Sabha on Monday.

“The government should support the entertainment industry because they always show up to help the government. They come and speak for them, they support them if there is a national calamity, they show up, they give money, they provide their services. And I think it’s very important. For the government to support this industry and not kill it just because there are few people, the image of the entire industry cannot be tarnished. This industry brings international name and recognition also apart from the political people. I was really ashamed and ashamed yesterday one of our members at Loj Sabha, who is from the industry spoke out against (I’m not taking the name) from the movie industry. It’s a shame ‘jis thali mein khate hai usi me chhed karte hai’, galat baat hai. I need protection, this industry needs protection and support from the government, “said Jaya Bachchan during the second day of the Monsoon session in Parliament.

Jaya Bachchan also gave a Zero Hour ad on Rajya Sabha about the alleged attempt to smear the film industry.

Ravi Kishan had said Monday that the drug conspiracy is a big problem and has affected Bollywood, urging the government to crack down on the culprits. He even said that the drugs are coming to India through China and Pakistan, as part of a larger conspiracy to attack the youth of our country.

The drug conspiracy has once again become the topic of conversation in Bollywood after Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and several other names came up in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.
