“He will not allow Didi to mock Bengal’s dreams”: PM Modi at the Bankura rally | West Bengal Election News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his criticism of Bengal’s Trinamool government in his speech at an election rally in Bankura on Sunday.
Referring to objectionable graffiti he had seen, Modi said: “Didi people are doing graffiti on the streets of Bengal where they kick my head and play football. Didi, why are you insulting the culture and Bengal traditions? ”
At the same time, he added that Mamata Banerjee will not be allowed to flout the dreams and aspirations of the people of the state.
He rebuked the Mamata Banerjee regime, accusing it of blocking central welfare schemes in the state and participating in scams with funds for various schemes.
BJP makes schemes, while TMC runs scams, Modi said, vowing to end corruption and ‘TMC-led cartels’ if BJP comes to power.
Repeating what he had said at previous rallies, Modi said that a BJP government in Bengal will ensure dual-engine growth. Core schemes such as Kisan Samman Nidhi, Aayushman Bharat and Jal Jeevan Mission, which have so far been prevented by the state, will be considered a priority, he added.
“The more I question Didi, the angrier he gets. Now he says he doesn’t like my face. Didi, in a democracy, it is the public service and not the face that is put to the test,” Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi said that Mamata Banerjee has seen the writing on the wall and knows that her defeat is certain. Therefore, you are making excuses and doubting the credibility of EVMs.
