Kolkata: The West Bengal Trinamool Congress (TMC) criticized accusations by Union housing minister Amit Shah on Saturday that the state is not serving the Center to bring back migrant staff and accused it of spreading lies and enjoy politics in the midst of an epidemic.
“Amit Shah’s letter is full of blatant lies. Two trains have already arrived and eight more are expected to arrive in West Bengal in the next three days. “Amit Shah just woke up from his 40-day sleep, but when you write a letter while still asleep, the person is wrong about all the facts,” he said, including that the Union housing minister was enjoying the policy on the difficulty.
Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and TMC youth wing chief Abhishek Banerjee tweeted that Shah should apologize if he does not confirm the costs in his letter with details.
Shah warned Banerjee in a letter that West Bengal was committing an “injustice” to stranded Bengali migrant staff across the country by not allowing the “shramik” (running) trains running on the railways to succeed in the state.
In his communication, Shah further identified that the Center has made it easier for more than 200,000 migrant employees to succeed in housing and that West Bengal staff are desperate to return.
O’Brien submitted a document showing two trains each from Punjab and Tamil Nadu and three from Karnataka are on the private train schedule as of May 8, and will reach seven districts of West Bengal with 12,714 passengers between 10 and May 12. Another preparation is scheduled to arrive in the Malda district on May 10 with 1,721 passengers from Telangana.
“We have a seven-stage plan to bring migrants back. We are doing it in stages. We don’t announce a close without a hint of planning. We don’t want to bring migrant workers back without a proper plan, as we are considering all possible implications to find the best way to do it, “said O’Brien.
The opposition Congress, however, held that West Bengal authorities gave the eight trains a mild experience only after receiving Shah’s letter.
“The prime minister gave eight more trains permission after Shah wrote to the state,” said head of congress within Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, who is Berhampore’s MP in West Bengal.
Chowdhury previously mentioned that he had spoken with Shah and railways minister Piyush Goyal to ensure the protected return of migrant personnel, however his efforts hit an obstacle attributable to West Bengal’s lack of curiosity.
O’Brien covered the cost of Chowdhury and mentioned: “Our government gave these trains permission before Shah’s letter, as is evident from the date in the document I submitted.”
Shah’s letter to the Prime Minister of West Bengal said: “Migrants from West Bengal are also eager to get home. The central government is facilitating but we are not receiving the expected support from W.B. State Government, which does not allow trains to reach W.B. This is injustice to W.B. migrant workers This will create more difficulties for them. “
