LUCK: A senior Uttar Pradesh The police officer said Thursday that the forensic report has revealed that the 19-year-old Hathras woman who succumbed to her injuries in a Delhi hospital was not raped.
Quoting a forensic science lab report (FSL), ADG (Law & Order) Prashant Kumar said the cause of his death is a neck injury and trauma resulting from it.
“The FSL report has also come in. It clearly says that the samples did not have sperm. It makes it clear that there was no rape or gang rape,” Kumar said.
“Even the woman in her statement to the police did not mention the rape, but only spoke of ‘marpeet’ (beatings),” he said.
“By disturbing social harmony and creating caste violence, some people presented the facts incorrectly,” said the UP policeman.
“The police took immediate action in the case and now we will identify those who tried to disturb social harmony and create caste violence,” added the ADG, noting that people “misrepresented the facts” in the media.
