Amid ongoing farmers’ protest on the Delhi borders against the new farm laws, Haryana Senior Deputy Minister Dushyant Chautala expressed on Saturday (December 12) his hope that the final round of talks between farmers protesting and the Center takes place in the next 24 to 48 hours. .
Speaking with ANI, Dushyant Chautala, who is also the chairman of the Jannayak Janata Party (JPP), said that the Center is “positive” in ending the stalemate and that the next round of talks would help resolve the crisis.
“The way the Center is holding talks (with the farmers), they want a resolution too. I am hopeful that in 24 to 48 hours the final round of talks will take place between the central government and the leaders of the farmers and will lead to a conclusive result, “said Chautala.
It should be noted that the JJP in Chautala is an alliance partner of the BJP in Haryana. The JJP leader made the remarks after meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
“It is my responsibility as a representative of the farmers to ensure their rights. I discussed the matter with the Union ministers, I hope that a path of mutual agreement will be found and the confrontation will be resolved. The center is positive,” said Chautala. .
Chautala’s claim came at a time when protesting farmers threatened to escalate the uproar since Sunday. Farmers also claimed that thousands more will soon arrive at Delhi’s borders in the coming days to join the protest.

PM Modi, addressing the 93rd FICCI Annual Convention, referred to the farmers’ protest and said that his government is fully committed to solving all issues related to farmer-related conflicts. He said recent agricultural reforms will provide farmers with new markets and access to technology, and help attract investment in the agricultural sector that will benefit the farming community.
