AMBALA: Haryana Minister Anil Vij called on Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal to make stay arrangements for Haryana residents working in the national capital, declaring that their daily movement increases the risk of spread from Covid-19.
He appealed to the Delhi government not to issue passes to such workers and to arrange for their stay in the national capital. The minister said that many of those who work in Delhi and stay in Haryana are “crown bearers.”
“I appeal to the Chief Minister of Delhi that arrangements for the stay of people working in Delhi should be made in the national capital itself. Passes should not be issued for travel to Haryana as this is increasing Covid-19 cases here. Many who work in Delhi and stay in Haryana are crown bearers, “said Vij.
Citing the Tablighi Jamaat meeting by Markaz Nizamuddin, he blamed the Delhi government for allowing members of a religious congregation to enter Haryana, leading to an increase in Covid-19 cases in the state.
“We examined and cured 120 Tablighis who had entered Haryana from the national capital. A considerable number of cases linked to New Delhi have been found in the state. Regarding the people of Tablighi Jamaat, who recovered from Covid-19, donating blood, Jain said: “Blood has no color. Anyone can donate blood. The mistake of the Markaz people was only in Markaz.”
Jain added: “All religions preach that we must do something to save other people’s lives. So no one should have a problem with that.”
