New Delhi: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said on Saturday (December 5, 2020) that he had contracted coronavirus. The news comes within 15 days after the administration of a test dose of the COVID-19 Covaxin vaccine.

“I was positive in the corona test. I am admitted to the Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital. Everyone who has been in close contact with me is advised to take the corona test,” the minister tweeted.

At the beginning of November 20, he was administered a test dose of Covaxin.

On November 19, he tweeted: “I will be administered a test dose of the coronavirus vaccine #Covaxin, a product of Bharat Biotech, tomorrow at 11am at the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantt, under the expert supervision of a team of Doctors from PGI Rohtak and the Department of Health. I have volunteered to take the test dose. “

Meanwhile, India recorded 36,652 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. Total COVID-19 cases reached 96,08,211, including 4,09,689 active cases and 90,58,822 recoveries.

Of these, Haryana has 14,329 active cases of coronavirus. The state has also seen 2,23,973 recoveries in addition to 2,539 COVID-19-related deaths.
