Haryana 2020 Civic Polls: Panchkula Witnesses 15% of Polls So Far | Chandigarh News

* Percentage of survey until 11.30: Ambala 10, Panchkula 10.2, Sonipat 8.4, Rewari 14, Sampla 31.1, Dharuhera 18.6, Uklana 15.9
* Former Union Minister and Haryana Janchetna Party Supreme Venod Sharma and his mayoral candidate wife, Shakti Rani Sharma, cast their votes at a polling station in the city of Ambala.

* Panchkula has witnessed 4.5% of the polls so far.
* BJP mayoral candidate Kulbhushan Goyal exercised his right to vote at a polling place in Sector-6.
* Haryana Assembly President Gian Chand Gupta cast his vote with his wife in Sector-17, Panchkula
* Congressional mayoral candidate Upinder Kaur Ahluwalia votes in Fatehpur village in Panchkula.
* Former MP CM Chander Mohan after casting his vote said: “I have given my vote for the happiness and development of Panchkula.”
* Voting in progress for the municipal corporations of Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat
* According to the schedule, voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on December 27, the results of which will be announced on December 30.
* Voting will be carried out for the municipal corporations of Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat; Rewari Municipal Council and Sampla Municipal Committees in Rohtak, Dharuhera in Rewari and Ukalana in Hisar districts.
* The stage is set for a direct fight between the combined BJP-JJP and Congress. Earlier this month, the Indian National Lok Dal had announced that it would boycott municipal ballot boxes in protest against ‘atrocities’ allegedly committed against farmers by the Center and the state’s BJP-JJP governments.
* General elections for the offices of mayor and members of all districts of the municipal corporations of Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat, the president and members of the municipal council of Rewari, and the members of the municipal committee of Sampla (Rohtak), Dharuhera (Rewari) and Ukalana (Hisar) will be held today.
