Indian senior spinner Harbhajan Singh has been part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception and has played for both Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians, the tournament’s two most successful teams. When MI won the tournament four times, CSK claimed the title three times. The off-spinner has won the tournament with both teams and noted differences in approach when it comes to both sides.
“The MIs are very professional, it is a lot of fun to play for the team. I have played for 10 years. I don’t know what to do, it’s a very difficult situation for me. The difference between MI and CSK is that CSK is very relaxed. There are not too many meetings, it is up to the players to do what they want. There is not much pressure there. In MI, there was a little pressure, they feel like they want to win the game. At CSK, he is laid back. We don’t even realize it’s game day. Both teams are amazing setup and I’m glad I have spent all these years with both teams, ”said Harbhajan during the Instagram Live session with Rohit Sharma.

Harbhajan also spoke about the consistency that is synonymous with Chennai Super Kings and gave the example of Shane Watson who did not do much but took a brilliant ton in the IPL 2018 final.
“CSK doesn’t make too many changes to the team. If Watson was not getting runs throughout the season, then he scored a ton. The team continued to support him. In the Mumbai Indians final, he almost played a game winning inning. You need to know how to support the players. Players like Watson can win the game on their own. Even for the Indian team, players like Rishabh Pant, who is a match winner, must be endorsed. I know he can’t score runs for now, but I’m sure it will come in handy, ”he explained.
