Gurugram: 25-year-old girl gang-raped by four inside a corridor’s office in DLF-2 | Gurgaon News


GURUGRAM: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men inside the office of a property dealer in DLF Phase 2 area in the middle night of Saturday and Sunday. The woman, originally from West Bengal, was also beaten and hit her head against the wall when she tried to raise the alarm.
The woman eventually managed to escape the office and run towards a private security guard who was sitting nearby. Within 24 hours after the crime, in the context of the Hathras Collective rape: the four defendants were arrested in different areas of the city. While one of them works as a cleaner in the property seller’s office, the other three are delivery agents working with various online food platforms.
Police said the woman knew one of the defendants, Rajan, and met him outside the Sikanderpur subway station for work around 12:30 a.m. Rajan was not alone. The other defendants, Govind, Pawan and Pankaj, were with him.
The woman was taken to the High State Properties office in Bougainvillea Marg, where Rajan works as a cleaner. According to the police, she had an argument with the four inside the office, after which they took turns raping her. Since it was 1.30am, there was hardly anyone in the entire building.
“The woman told us that they first beat her and then gang-raped her. She suffered multiple injuries and is currently under treatment in a private hospital, ”said a police officer.
Assistant Police Commissioner Karan goel She said the woman was repeatedly kicked and beaten by the four, who also hit her head against the wall, when she resisted. She tried to escape, but crashed into a glass door, causing further injuries.
However, the woman managed to run away and narrate her ordeal to a guard who was sitting nearby. “The guard called the police control room and a PCR van from a police station on MG Road arrived at the scene. The woman was taken to a nearby private hospital. From there, she was taken to a hospital in Sector 10 and then to Medanta for treatment, ”Goel said.
Police said they were trying to find out details about the woman and her occupation. Sources said he lived in Kalkaji in Delhi.
An FIR was registered at the DLF Phase 2 police station under IPC sections 376D, 323, and 506, explaining gang rape, voluntarily causing harm and criminal intimidation, respectively.
By Sunday night, the police had managed to arrest the four defendants. Pankaj, a delivery executive, was first picked up in Chakkarpur. He spilled the beans on the location of the others. All of the defendants are in their twenties and originally from Bihar. “We registered a case and arrested the four defendants,” Goel said.
