Gurpurab or Guru Nanak Jayanti is one of the most auspicious days in the Sikh community marking the anniversary of the birth of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev. While celebrated around the world today, it generally includes three-day festivities, followed by Kirtan, Katha and Langar. While this year the celebrations are relatively low-key due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, this does not prevent anyone, including Bollywood stars, from sending virtual wishes to their fans.

Taapsee Pannu paid a quick visit to a Gurdwara in the middle of his busy filming schedule and shared photos of it on his Instagram story that read, “Happy gurpurab!” Sharing a selfie of herself from the Sikh temple, she added: “Because today is her birthday! #GuruNanakJayanti ”.
