Gurgaon:
A 26-year-old woman in Gurgaon, near Delhi, was killed on Thursday after men on a motorcycle allegedly shot her in the head four days ago.
The chilling incident took place on the night of November 3 when the woman, Pooja Sharma, was out for a walk with her fiancé in her car.
They went for a walk after dinner at a restaurant in Gurgaon.
The men on the bicycle allegedly opened fire after an unsuccessful attempt to loot the couple. Ms. Sharma was injured in the head when the attackers opened fire.
Originally from Chhattisgarh, she worked in a multinational company in Gurgaon. Her fiancé also worked in Gurgaon.
The men on the bicycle have not yet been identified and arrested.
Sharma, whose condition was critical, died Thursday in a private hospital. His family has brought his body back to Chhattisgarh.
Last month, a 21-year-old student at Haryana’s Ballabgarh in Faridabad was shot and killed in broad daylight outside her university by a man who first tried to push her into his car. The murder of the woman in the streets, just 30 kilometers from Delhi, has been captured in a terrifying video that shows her attempts to save herself before being shot at point-blank range.
