Actor Govinda has opened up about the controversy surrounding his appearance on an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, in which his nephew and comedian Krushna Abhishek chose not to appear.
Speaking about her refusal to share the stage with Govinda on The Kapil Sharma Show, Krushna had previously told Spotboye, “I refused to do the episode with my mom Govinda, as there are some differences between us, and I didn’t want anything from our problems affecting the show. For comedy to be effective, you must work in a warm and friendly environment. Laughter can only be generated in the midst of good relationships. “
In a detailed statement on Sunday, Govinda said that Krushna’s statement contained defamatory comments and was issued with “little thought.” He said that Krushna’s claim that he did not go to see his twins was wrong. The actor said he went to see the twins at the hospital.
He went on to say that he has been a target of Krushna Abhishek and his wife Kashmera Shah, who have frequently issued defamatory statements against him.
“I do not understand why this slander is being done repeatedly and what they are gaining from it. My relationship with Krushna was very strong since I was a little boy. My adulation for him was incomparable and my family and people in the industry witness the same. I strongly believe that washing dirty clothes in public is a sign of insecurity and allows outsiders to take advantage of family misunderstandings, ”added Govinda.
Govinda also said that from now on he will maintain a “graceful distance”. The actor concluded by saying that he is, according to him, the most misunderstood person.

I am deeply saddened to publish this press release, but I firmly believe that it is time for the truth to come out.
I read the news on the front page of a major newspaper that my nephew Krushna Abhishek was not performing on a popular television show, as I was invited as a guest there. He chose to opt out because he had some reservations. He later went ahead and testified to the media about his belief in our relationship. This statement had slanderous comments and was issued with just a little thought. It had a snowball effect as it was voyeuristic in nature.
Krushna wrongly claimed that I did not go to see his twins. I together with my family went to see their twins at the hospital and I met the doctor (Doctor Awasthi) and the nurse who took care of them. However, the nurse told me that the children’s mother, Kashmira Shah, never wanted any of the family members to come to see the surrogate babies. At greater insistence, they made us see the babies from afar. We return with heavy hearts, however, I strongly feel that Krushna does not know about this incident. One can feel free to connect with the doctor and nurse in it and know the truth. Krushna also came to our house with the children and Aarti Singh, who he forgot to mention in the statement.
Be it Krushna or Kashmira, I have been a scapegoat for their slanderous comments and statements against me frequently, most of them in the media and some in the shows and performances they do. I do not understand why this slander is done repeatedly and what they gain from it. My relationship with Krushna was very strong since I was a little boy. My adulation for him was incomparable and my family and people in the industry witness the same. I strongly believe that doing laundry in public is a sign of insecurity and allows outsiders to take advantage of family misunderstandings.
Through this statement, I would like to mention that I will keep a graceful distance from now on. And since I am as bad as mentioned in the media reports, I urge those who don’t like me to do the same. Every family has misunderstandings and problems, but discussing them in the media can cause irreparable damage and, I don’t like the same, in fact, I am very sad to clarify this through the media. Perhaps I am the most misunderstood person, but if so, so be it. My mother always taught me ‘Neki Kar Aur Dariya Mein Daal Govinda’.
