In a fourth crackdown on Tuesday, the central government blocked another set of 43 mobile apps, mostly those with Chinese links, “for engaging in activities damaging to the sovereignty, integrity, defense, security and public order of India.”
With this, the Indian government banned a total of 267 Chinese apps, including the viral social media app TikTok and the super popular game PUBG Mobile.
The new list includes several apps from Chinese tech giant Alibaba, such as AliSuppliers Mobile, Alibaba Workbench, AliExpress, and Alipay Cashier.

The development means that the latest banned apps will no longer be available for download via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in India. Also, these applications will soon stop working for those users who already use them on their smartphones.
And once again, desi Twitter was quick enough to take on the ban with a meme festival showing various reactions exchanged between the governments of India and China.
